ALCP: John Key wants your DNA

Allowing Police to take DNA Samples from people they 'intend to charge' is
a case of Guilty until proven Innocent, according to the Aotearoa Legalise
Cannabis Party (ALCP).

"This law is a major breach of Human Rights not to mention a completely
Fascist and unjustified intrusion into citizens' lives," says party
spokesperson Julian Crawford.

"Every year over 10,000 New Zealand citizens suffer the indignity of a
criminal conviction for growing or smoking a medicinal herb: Cannabis.
Under the dictate of John Key everyone of these people could have their DNA
forcible taken from them by Police," says Crawford

"What happened to Justice in New Zealand and the right to be treated as
Innocent until proven Guilty?" says Crawford.
