Taiwanese and Kiwi engineers combine to help patients with brain injuries

Stroke victims are among those benefiting from a collaboration between Industrial Research Limited (IRL) and Taiwan’s Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), which are developing rehabilitation devices to help patients with brain injuries recover limb movement.

Gardens a colourful symbol of school's diversity

Auckland’s Owairaka District School recently celebrated the opening of its Indian and Zen gardens, which it has set up to promote a deeper understanding of Asia. The gardens, funded by a grant from Asia:NZ, were also designed to affirm the place of Asian children and families who belong to the school community.

Connecting young leaders in China

Ten young leaders in China got the chance to meet and share stories at a gathering in Beijing organised by Asia:NZ.
Besides making internal connections, we also asked the group to create a photo resource about life in China that New Zealand teachers could use in the classroom.
