Taskforce Ushers In More Control and More Tax

“The existence of the Workplace Health and Safety Taskforce and their recommendations should be viewed in proper context.  The members read as a who’s who of crony capitalists, lefties and government quango hoppers.”  Said Peter Osborne, a Libertarianz spokesman today.

He says, “It seems that most of the submissions made to the taskforce were by people and companies from within the health and safety industry.  While the taskforce calls themselves independent they were none of the sort.  Even so, regardless of the motives of submitters and those in the taskforce, it is important that we all recognise this exercise for what it is, yet another excuse for Nanny State to stick her nose further into our lives.”

Mr Osborne continues, “This sort of self important tripe is why New Zealand is changing from a nation of can do, self motivators into a cowering, snivelling nation of apron holders.  The fact that we fail to recognise that we are again being conned, only shows that our beloved state controlled education system is working.

In conclusion Mr Osborne says, “Libertarianz stand in defence of those free minded New Zealanders who are not interested how government feels about our safety.  For our government to hold such overbearing power is most destructive to our lives and our society.  It is time to recognise that a government who tries to convince us that they care more about us than we do ourselves, is not only a fraud but is in reality, a government intent on suffocating life to a state of pointlessness .  We may continue to defend such governance but it will not end well.”
