The Taxpayers’ Union is repeating calls for the Prime Minister to explain the Ministerial deals he looks to be doing with his support partners. Taxpayers’ UnionExecutive Director Jordan Williams says:
“The Prime Minister’s comments suggest that Ministerial warrants are being awarded in order to ramp up taxpayer-funding of the Government’s support partners.”
"The election was the first time under MMP that political horse-trading between the Government and other parties to obtain a majority is not necessary. National’s dishing out of portfolios so that ACT and United Future get more staff is a shameful deal with taxpayers picking up the bill.”
