A statement by Tūhoronuku Independent Mandated Authority

Ngāpuhi settlement entity Tūhoronuku Independent Mandated Authority leadership elections on Friday, 11 September 2015

Ngāpuhi settlement entity Tūhoronuku Independent Mandated Authority (Tūhoronuku IMA) today opened nominations for chairman and deputy chairman, which will be voted on at a special board meeting on Friday, 11 September 2015.

The board agreed to hold the election process in a month’s time, to allow trustees to seek feedback from hapū and wider Ngāpuhi constituents.

Nominations opened today and will close on 28 August.

At today’s board meeting in Paihia, the following trustees were nominated for the position of chairman, in order of their nomination: - Sam Napia - Raniera Tau - Hone Sadler Nominated for the deputy chairman position, in order of nomination: - Moana Tuwhare - Kara George - Hone Sadler For the past six weeks Mr Napia has been Tūhoronuku IMA’s acting chairman and Ms Tuwhare deputy chairman, and they will continue in these positons until the elections.
