Dr Bill Rosenberg and Dr Geoff Bertram - The International Economy: Risks and Opportunities

You are warmly invited to hear Dr Bill Rosenberg and Dr Geoff Bertram discuss this issue at 5:30pm on Tuesday April 12th at Connolly Hall, Guildford Terrace, Wellington.

International agencies and many commentators including the Minister of Finance in his recent “state of the economy” speech, have been writing about the growing dangers in the international economy and financial system. Bill and Geoff will look at those dangers, their potential effect on New Zealand, and what economic and financial policies are needed to put us in a good condition to weather the turmoil should it occur.

It is important to learn from the disastrous mistakes that are still being made around the developed world, and from new thinking that has not yet permeated through to government circles in Wellington. Out of crisis comes opportunity: many of these preparations are policies needed for a better New Zealand.

Al welcome. If you would like to attend, please register on the Fabians websitewww.fabians.org.nz. If you know of anyone else who may be interested, please pass this invitation on to them.
