Treasury swimming in money, but Labour proposes to tax
Aucklanders more at the pump 6 AUGUST 2017 FOR
IMMEDIATE RELEASE Responding to Labour’s transport
announcement this afternoon, Jordan Williams, Executive
Director of the Taxpayers’ Union says:
“By 2020, the
budget surpluses are expected to be $8.5 billion per year,
but still politicians want to pile on more taxes that are
unnecessary.” “Right now, more than half what
motorists pay at the pump is tax. At what level is enough,
enough?”
