Libertarianz Applauds PSA

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Libertarianz Applauds PSA

"The PSA should escalate their industrial action at IRD offices, and cripple the tax system permanently," said Richard McGrath, Deputy Leader of Libertarianz. He was commenting on the stop work meetings held last Friday to discuss the employment contracts of IRD staff.

"The PSA have highlighted the culture of fear and punishment running rampant through the senior management of IRD. If tax collectors weren't government employees, they'd be filling our prisons," observed McGrath.

Libertarianz would scrap the IRD in a series of planned steps, starting firstly with its title. "We think the Department of Legalised Theft is a far more appropriate name," said McGrath, "and the sooner this extortion racket is busted the better."

"Government has no business stealing the fruits of New Zealanders' labour."
