Norton AntiVirus 2001
Norton AntiVirus
2001 offers consumers a comprehensive anti-virus solution
that is easy to use and install. To ensure users have
up-to-date protection against malicious code, Norton
AntiVirus 2001 features a new and improved LiveUpdate tool,
which automatically senses if any Internet connections are
open, then retrieves and installs any available virus
definition updates.
New to Norton AntiVirus 2001 is
SmartScan technology which improves file-scanning
performance and minimises background monitoring for viruses.
It finds all files in the system with executable code that
must be scanned for viruses - eliminating the need to scan
all files in the system for unmatched protection and
performance.
Norton AntiVirus 2001 also provides users a
bootable CD for easy system start-up. For computers that do
not support a bootable CD, Norton AntiVirus includes a tool
to create emergency boot disks. Norton AntiVirus 2001
continues to scan received e-mail, detecting viruses before
the user accesses the attachment. This eliminates the risk
of unknowingly forwarding the virus to others.
Norton
Utilities 2001

in the problem-solving market, Norton Utilities 2001 is the
first multi-platform release of Norton Utilities and offers
