New Netop Remote Control V7.0

New Netop Remote Control V7.0 Provides Scalability, Security & Speed

COPENHAGEN, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ --

Public-listed company Danware has announced the release of NetOp
Remote Control v7.0, designed for IT professionals looking for
heightened security, speed and multiple connection options.

This latest version of the award-winning software line adds
support for controlling distant PCs from Windows XP, Windows CE,
Linux or from an Internet Explorer browser using ActiveX. The new
version also includes additional security options, a NetOp Name
Server and a Wake On LAN feature that can remotely power on a PC in
order to initiate a remote control session.

NetOp Control provide users with a fast and secure way to fix
problems on PCs and servers across the hallway or across the
country, by being able to view a remote PC's screen and control its
keyboard and mouse just as if they were seated in front of it.

NetOp v7.0 also offers a new optional Security Server module
that provides centralized, fault-tolerant, security by
authenticating users against a database set up by administrators.
The Security Server queries an ODBC compliant database about
session permissions and rights across a network connection. If a
user is not in the database, there is no access. NetOp v7.0 has
also added the toughest new industry-standard encryption methods.

Users are also finding valuable uses for the NetOp ActiveX Guest
-- for example a salesman no longer has to lug their notebook PC
through tighter airport security for a presentation -- they can
simply load the ActiveX Guest on their client's browser and control
the PC on their own desk to perform a demo, search inventory, place
an order and check the status.

To make connecting to a remote PC over the Internet easier,
NetOp v7.0 takes advantage of a NetOp Name Server that converts a
person's dynamic IP address to a user name. Every time a NetOp
user initializes the TCP/IP communication profile, an automatic
registration of its NetOp name and current IP address can take
place on a NetOp Name Server. This allows a Guest to simply enter
the NetOp user's name to access that computer without having to
know the long dot-decimal IP address or the machine name.
