Ruth Connolly and Bernard O’Brien join PeopleSoft driving new market initiatives

PeopleSoft today announced the appointment of Ruth Connolly as Vice President of Marketing for Asia Pacific and Japan, and locally Bernard O’Brien as Marketing Manager Australia and New Zealand.

Connolly joined PeopleSoft from SAP where she held the positions of SVP Marketing Singapore and Managing Director of SAP’s India operations.

The new role was created in response to PeopleSoft’s growing expansion across the Asia Pacific region, and its contribution to PeopleSoft’s international operations.

“Ruth is well-known and well-respected in Asia Pacific as being a superior marketing leader,” said Andrew Barkla, Vice President Asia Pacific. “Coupled with her operational and executive experience both in Asia and the US working for leading corporations, I am sure Ruth will bring great opportunities to PeopleSoft in Asia Pacific to expand our reach into the region.”

“PeopleSoft presented a great opportunity for me to work with an organisation that’s leading the market in not only its technology architecture and functionality, but in its vision of how businesses should be evolving,” said Ruth Connolly, VP Marketing Asia Pacific and Japan. “PeopleSoft’s expansion into Asia has been aggressive in the last 18 months, with entry into markets like the People’s Republic of China. There are great opportunities across the region for PeopleSoft, and I look forward to working with the teams to identify and execute on some exciting new market initiatives.”
