PeopleSoft Appoints Murray Creighton to Head
Japan and Asia Pacific
Former VP Returns to Lead Expanded Region

PeopleSoft today announced the appointment of Murray Creighton as Senior Vice President (SVP) of PeopleSoft Japan and Asia Pacific. Creighton returns to PeopleSoft after over three years at the helm of Siebel Systems’ Asia Pacific and Japan operations.

Creighton’s appointment marks the successful alignment of PeopleSoft Asia Pacific and PeopleSoft Japan to make one regional ‘theatre’ – Japan and Asia Pacific (JAPAC).

Commenting on his appointment, Creighton said, “PeopleSoft has secured a dominant foothold in the Asia Pacific market. With continued investment and expansion into key geographies, and the delivery of localised and translated world-class enterprise solutions, we are well positioned to drive a strong lead in the Region.

“The company has continued to demonstrate its commitment to the Region and our PeopleSoft community of customers and partners. We have strong local management support, and I’m excited about the journey ahead. I look forward to taking the company forward in Japan and Asia Pacific.”

PeopleSoft’s Executive Vice President of International Operations, Guy Dubois added, “Murray Creighton has a proven ability to lead our company in the region. We are delighted to welcome Murray back to PeopleSoft – the incorporation of Japan into our Asia Pacific theatre will present new opportunities for Murray to drive PeopleSoft’s leadership.”

Creighton has over 25 years experience in the IT industry, including more than 20 years of senior management responsibilities with Siebel Systems, PeopleSoft, SSA and Wang Australia.
