ERMA struggling to stop 'invalid' submissions

ERMA struggling to stop 'invalid' submissions
( GE Free NZ Press Release)

ERMA is working hard to prevent a legal loophole resulting in hundreds of public submissions against GE field trials becoming invalid.

The day after submissions closed ERMA identified many people who had sent submissions had failed to say if they wanted to be speak at hearings.

This invalidated their submission under the HSNO Act.

But in the interest of fairness ERMA is trying to contact people before its too late to find out the answer to the missing question and validate the submissions.

ERMA is trying to do what it can but some submissions do not have full contact details.

It is important that anyone who has made a submission but not heard back get in contact with ERMA and state whether they want to be heard or not.
