New ‘smart’ health app Ada hits No.1 spot in New Zealand

New ‘smart’ health app Ada hits No.1 spot in New Zealand
Ada puts the power of personal healthcare in New Zealanders’ pockets

Recently launched Ada now No.1 on the App Store in Medical category
‘Smart’ health assessments provide instant peace of mind for all the family
Easy to understand assessment reports give valuable insight for GPs and allow you to get more from your GP doctor’s appointments
Ada’s Digital Health Record puts personal health information at people’s fingertips

Newly launched health app “Ada” has already become the number one medical app downloaded in New Zealand. Understanding every ache, pain, sniff and snuffle can be difficult, especially in a ten minute appointment with your GP. Ada is ‘smart’ health app developed by doctors, which aims to put your mind at ease, and allows you and your family to get more from the time spent with your GP doctor.

Accessible through a free iPhone app at www.ada.com, Ada gives patients instant access to ‘smart’ health assessments, including easy to understand reports about your current health. The information can also be shared with your GP, helping them to spend more valuable time on the solutions, rather than the problems. Ada also has a Digital Health Record helping put people’s personal health information at their fingertips.

Ada’s smart technology guides patients through a series of questions, providing the most likely cause of the symptoms you’re experiencing. The service can also be used on behalf of other family members, providing guidance and reassurance for those concerned about younger children or elderly patients.

Ada Digital Health co-founder and Chief Medical Officer, Dr Claire Novorol said, “As both a doctor and a Mum, I understand the pressures and the worries of both. Doctors have to diagnose patients in minimal time with maximum efficiency; Mums constantly worry about the health of their loved ones, whether their children or their parents. That’s exactly why we created Ada. Our technology gives reassurance to the whole family about their health, whilst also being useful for doctors by informing their decisions.”

In addition to the new smart assessment tool, Ada also provides family members with a personal Digital Health Record, which can be populated through the Ada app and provides secure and instant access - anywhere, anytime. Perfect for when you’ve forgotten your allergies, previous medication or when you need to consider you past medical history.

Dr Claire Novorol continued, “For many of us, gaining access to any kind of useful information about our medical history isn’t easy - we either lose or forget the information. The problem gets even worse when we have to remember all that information for our families too. Having a Digital Health Record at your fingertips provides an easy and secure way to access it whenever you need it.”

The Ada app is now available to download for iPhone at www.ada.com, Free.
