1. PER REFTEL, TURKISH CIVIL AVIATION DEPUTY
DIRECTOR FOR SECURITY ERDAL UGUR TOLD ECONOFF
THAT THE TURKISH DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF CIVIL
AVIATION (DGCA) WOULD BE PLEASED TO CONDUCT A
JOINT MANPADS ASSESSMENT WITH THE TRANSPORT
SECURITY ADMINISTRATION (TSA) AT ISTANBUL
ATATURK AIRPORT. UGUR SAID THE DGCA WOULD
PREFER TO HAVE THE ASSESSMENT ANY TIME BETWEEN
JUNE 23- JULY 4 AND HAS NOTIFIED TSA ABOUT THESE
DATES.
