1.Amendments to BTIOS: 542/01/T0005 AND T/0011

2.The Government of Sri Lanka (GOSL) invites
applications for pre-qualifications with or without
th or without
domestic participation for a 300 mw coal power project
through Build Own Operate (BOO) basis.

3.The 300 mw plant with possibilities for future
expansion would be offered to the private sector for
development through a competitive bidding process.

4.The pre-qualified parties should undertake the
design, finance, engineering, procurement,
construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance
of the plant for a period not less than 20 years.

5.The coal power project is being promoted by the
GOSL on a priority basis. The selected bidder will be
eligible to a range of incentive under the Board of
Investment of Sri Lanka (BOI).

6.Interested parties may obtain pre-qualification
documents from the above address on a non refundable
fee of Sri Lanka Rupees 50,000/- (US$1 = SLRS.97/-).
The request must clearly state "Request for Pre-
qualifications for the BOO Development of the Coal
Power Plant" and also state the identity of the
requesting party.

7.Applications should be received on or before
fore
SEPTEMBER 30, 2003 AT 10:00 HRS (local time). Please
check www.esc.gov.lk for more information.
