1. Embassy delivered ref A (UNGA Resolution on Human Rights
in Turkmenistan) talking points to the MFA Department of
American, European and Oceanic Affairs on November 22. We
requested that these be forwarded to the MFA Director for
International Organizations, who is currently out of
country, as well as any other appropriate person at MFA who
can address the issue. Poloff will follow up to try to
schedule a meeting to deliver the demarche in person, and
forward the UAEG response.

2. Embassy delivered ref B (Support for the UNGA Third
Committee Iran Resolution) talking points to the MFA
Department of American, European and Oceanic Affairs on
November 16. According to the United Nations Website, the
resolution passed 73 to 49, with 50 abstentions. UAE
abstained.

3. Embassy delivered ref C (UNGA CERD Candidate Ralph Boyd)
dipnote and CV on November 12. After trying for several
days to schedule an appointment with the MFA Director for
International Organizations (who has been out of country),
we delivered the talking points to the MFA Office of
American, European and Oceanic Affairs on November 22,
requesting that the points be forwarded to the
International Organizations director or another appropriate
recipient.
