Asli Oral, Head of the MFA's Environment Department, told us
that Turkey decided to support the proposal for universal
membership to the UNEP Governing Council and asked its
embassy in Nairobi to pass this information to UNEP
officials. She added that Turkey will not send a delegation
to the UNEP Governing Council meeting in Jeju, Korea, March
29-31.
