Ms. Kannimariammah, a grassroot worker in the conflict-
affected district of Batticaloa, would benefit immensely
from the subject program. The organization she works for,
the Eastern Human and Economic Development (EHED),is
responsible for the rehabilitation of displaced persons,
assistance in legal aid, human rights, and social
mobilization. If Kannimariammah is given an opportunity to
participate in the subject program, she would be an
effective source of promoting U.S. ideals, and experiences
gained from the program to people in remote areas of
Batticaloa.
This nomination has "full Country Team approval."
