Poloff delivered reftel talking points concerning the U.S.
election to the Postal Operations Council (POC) of the
Universal Postal Union (UPU) and the election of Amcit James
Wade to the position of POC Chairman to Rafael Osorio, MFA
Acting Deputy Director General for UN Affairs. Osorio
promised to consult with Ana Paredes, Deputy Director General
for Technical International Organizations, concerning the
U.S. candidacy.
