2, 2004 OF DEUTCH MOVIE DIRECTOR THEO VAN GOGH IN THE
NETHERLANDS. AKOUDAD WAS CLOSELY LINKED TO THE
PERPETRATORS SAMIR AZZOUZ, 18 YEARS OLD, FROM MOROCCO
AND MOHAMED BOUYERI, (DPOB UNKNOWN). ACCORDING TO
POLICE INVESTIGATIONS, AKOUAD WAS ALSO CLOSELY RELATED
TO SALAH EDDINE BENIA, ALIAS "MURAD", AN ALLEGED HIGH-
RANKING AL-QAEDA MEMBER, ALSO INVOLVED IN THE
CASABLANCA TERRORIST ATTACKS, WHO WAS ARRESTED IN
AMSTERDAM AIRPORT COMING FROM MALAYSIA AND HOLDING A
FALSE SPANISH PASSPORT. ABDELADIM AKOUAD WAS ARRESTED
IN SPAIN ON OCT. 14,2003, AS THE RESULT OF A MOROCCAN
HIGH COURT INTERNATIONAL WARRANT OF ARREST FOR HIS
ALLEGED ASSOCIATION WITH THE RADICAL ISLAMIST GROUP "AL
HARAKA SALFIA JIHADIA", RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CASABLANCA
TERRORISTS EVENTS.
