1. (U) This is an action request for human rights
verification required by the Leahy Amendment; see para. 2.
2. (U) JUSMAGTHAI has requested that the Embassy/State
Department complete human rights vetting for Ltc. Ronawee
HIRUNSI Army Training Command, RTA, who has been selected to
attend the WCN 1180A, Joint Transition Course at Norfolk, VA
from 2 - 10 Sep 2005 and the WCN 1180B, JT/COMB Warfight
Course at Norfolk, VA from 11 Sep - 2 Dec 2005. Embassy
Bangkok possesses no credible information of gross violations
of human rights by this individual. Embassy Bangkok Acting
Political Counselor, James F. Cole, is the verifying officer
for the Embassy/Department of State.
