(U) Pol/Econ chief August 31 delivered reftel points and
non-paper concerning food aid and the WTO to MFA Director for
International Organization Affairs Ghassan Shaikho. Shaikho
listened carefully to the points and responded that the UN
World Food Program could possibly play a role in coordinating
the activities of the WTO and FAO on food aid, if necessary.
He pledged to pass the non-paper to relevant GOB ministries.
