2. In response to action request reftels, post has prepared
an op-ed piece for placement in local press based on revised
reftel talking points. Per Department instructions, we are
awaiting Department approval of the text for placement (a
leading Czech daily, "Hospodarske Noviny," had agreed to run
the piece). Appropriate interlocutors at the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs were on leave next week, but we intend to
engage them in the coming days.
