(SBU) We delivered reftel demarche on November 22nd to Miss
Morakot Sriwasdi, First Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs International Economic Policy Division. Miss Morakot
stated that she could not confirm Thailand's support without
consulting her colleagues in London, but would forward our
request to them immediately. Miss Morakot also stated that
she believed our request would be well received if we could
reciprocate their request for council membership under
Category "C".
