SUBJECT: EMBASSY WELLINGTON EAC MEETING NOVEMBER 2005


1. (U) Embassy Wellington's Emergency Action Committee met
November 28, 2005 to approve releasing a warden message on
the Avian Bird Flu.

2. (U) Message summary: "The Department of State has decided
to preposition Tamiflu at its Embassies and Consulates for
eligible U.S. Government Employees and their families serving
abroad. Currently there are spots where Tamiflu is in short
supply around the world. Private Americans who are interested
in obtaining Tamiflu should consult their personal
physicians." End summary

3. (U) RSO's office will monitor this situation. We will
advise if there are concerns from private Americans receiving
this warden message.
