1. GON plans for attendance at UNGA are not yet firm.
According to Ambassador Abdukadir Bin Rimdap, Director of
International Organizations Department in the foreign
ministry.

A) President Olusegun Obasanjo will attend to deliver an
address on September 20th. While his travel plans are not
yet known, he will be in Havana prior to UNGA and likely will
arrive in New York on the 19th. Current plans indicate that
he will leave the next day. His wife is deceased. No
interpretation will be required.

B) President Obasanjo is both Head of State and Head of
Government.

C) Foreign Minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala will attend UNGA.
She will arrive on the same day as the president and stay for
about a week. We believe her husband still lives in the U.S.
No interpretation will be required.

D) Attendance of Other VIP's. Rimdap said that several VIP's
will be traveling with the president, but he does not yet
know how many nor who they will be.

E) Ambassador Abdukadir Bin Rimdap, Director of the
International Organizations Department in the Foreign
Ministry, will attend at the same time as the president. He
did not share travel plans of his family. No interpretation
will be require.
