Post conveyed reftel message to MFA Deputy Subdirector
General for Middle East Affairs Teresa Lizaranzu on July 31.
Lizaranzu said that Spain supported the Iraq Compact and
planned to issue a statement soon announcing its endorsement.
We will follow up and report the Spanish statement when it
is released.
