On July 30, conservative, influential newspaper-of-record "El
Mercurio" (circ. 116,807) ran an editorial entitled "The Collapse of
the Doha Round." Quote:

"The failure of the Doha round is a harsh blow for poor nations
worldwide.... If the U.S. and European protectionist subsidies were
to disappear...the savings would help the poor. But the persistence
of these subsidies will cause more commercial conflicts among
nations and decrease trade, which will hurt everyone, including
Chile."
