1. The Security Council on August 29 adopted (15-0-0)
Resolution 1705 (2006) extending Judge Bossa's term on the
International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda until June 24,
2007.

2. Following the Council's action the General Assembly
decided to endorse the extension of Bossa's term.
