MFA Director for North America Maria Eugenia Chiozza called
Econoff late evening of September 8 and, contrary to what she
had earlier indicated in Ref A, reported that FM Jose Garcia
Belaunde has now decided that he will participate in the
September 20 meeting with the President. Chiozza said that
Garcia Belaunde looks forward to working with Embassy Lima to
prepare his presentation of Peru's experiences that he will
share during the meeting.
