(SBU) On July 25, Poloff met with the Ministry of Foreign
Affair's director of international organizations and
delivered reftel demarche. The director responded that the
GOB and specifically the Bolivian mission in Geneva would
thoroughly review U.S. nominee Ambassador William Lacy
Swing's qualifications. However, he noted, that as the
election is in June 2008, the GOB would not likely formalize
a decision for a while.
