(SBU) Global Affairs officer delivered reftel demarche August
10 to MFA Desk Officer for Nuclear Energy and
Nonproliferation Joerg Polster. Polster undertook to relay
the request to appropriate German Government offices and
coordinate preparation of a diplomatic note providing the
required assurances. Post will follow up as needed and
report any subsequent German response septel.
