1. (SBU) In response to reftel demarche, Department of
Foreign Affairs and International Trade's Deputy Director for
Non-Proliferation and Nuclear Disarmament Shawn Caza promised
on October 22 to seek clearance to instruct Canadian
officials in La Paz to urge the Bolivian government to
reverse its decision to support Iran's nuclear program.
