1. (SBU) Econoff delivered reftel demarche to Sri Lanka Ministry of
Foreign Affairs Deputy Director for the United Nations and
Multilateral Affairs Division, Satya Rodrigo. Rodrigo told Econoff
that Sri Lanka will support the U.S. candidacy in the upcoming
International Maritime Organization (IMO) Council elections.

2. (SBU) Econoff delivered reftel demarche to Maldives Foreign
Ministry's Assistant Director for United Nations Affairs, Ahmed
Shiaan. Shiaan told Econoff that Maldives will support the U.S.
candidacy in the IMO Council elections.
