1. (SBU) On October 30, Emboff met with the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs Director of International Organizations and
delivered ref A demarche. Director Ruben Vidaurre was
unaware of the FATF statement and guidance on Iran. He
offered no comment beyond polite appreciation for bringing
the matter to the MFA's attention and said he would forward
the information to relevant officials and ministries.

2. (SBU) Comment: Given President Evo Morales' recent
decision to establish diplomatic and commercial ties with the
government of Iran (refs B-E), it seems unlikely that his
government will enforce (vigorously or otherwise) the
principals of the FATF statement. End Comment.
