Post contacted the Czech MFA office of Human Rights and
Transition Policy to reiterate our position and concerns
about amendments to our UNGA resolution condemning the use of
rape as an instrument of state policy. The Czechs, who are
cosponsoring this resolution, did not have an immediate
response to our demarche. Gabriela Dlouha, Director of this
MFA office, is in NY handling negotiations for the Czechs on
UN Third Committee matters. She received our details and we
anticipate that she will be in touch with USUN or post if she
has any questions or concerns.
