1. (U) In response to ref b demarche on November 19,
Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Human
Rights Policy Officer Daniel Ulmer confirmed on December 21
that Canada will support the candidacy of Pierre-Richard
Prosper for the United Nations Committee on the Elimination
of Racial Discrimination (CERD).
