Ambassador delivered reftel demarche to Foreign Minister
Rohitha Bogollagama on January 11. Acting Foreign Secretary
Maduwegedera informed Poloff on January 14 that Sri Lanka
will support U.S. candidate Pierre-Richard Prosper for
re-election to the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial
Discrimination on January 17. Post received a diplomatic
note confirming this decision on January 14.
