1. (S) The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment's
Export Licensing Unit has denied Mac Aviation Group licensing
for imports/exports into and out of Ireland, Desk Officer
Michael Keaveney, Disarmament and Non-Proliferation,
Department of Foreign Affairs, informed POLOFF on January 3.
Keaveney added that Mac Aviation Group was a "known entity"
and that Irish authorities are continuing their investigation
into possible violations of Irish law or international
non-proliferation agreements. Post will continue to monitor
this investigation.
