1.(SBU) PolOff delivered demarche (ref A) to Zvi Rav-Ner,
Director of the MFA Central Europe Department, who said
that IsraelQs position remains unchanged from last week
(ref B). On the day Kosovo declared its independence,
February 17, the MFA issued the following statement:
QRegarding KosovoQs declaration of independence, Israel is
monitoring developments and will formulate its position in
due course. On February 19, Rav-Ner said that Deputy
Foreign Minister Majalli Whbee reiterated that position in
a statement to the Knesset, IsraelQs legislature.
