1. The GoC has accepted the USG invitation to co-host the ninth
International Export Control Conference (reftels). MFA officials
plan to propose dates in September 2008 for this event. Full text of
GoC diplomatic note No. 586/08 dated 04 February 2008 follows in
para 3.

2. The GoC POC for conference organization is head of MFA
International Security Department Sanja Bujas-Juraga. Post POCs are
PolOff Tom Selinger (selingertb@state.gov) and EXBS FSN Olga Kandrac
(kandraco@state.gov).

3. Begin text:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the
Republic of Croatia presents its compliments to the Embassy of the
United States of America in Zagreb and acknowledges receipt of the
Embassy's Note No.061, dated November 28 2007, which extends an
invitation for Croatia to co-host with the United States the Ninth
International Export Control Conference.

Aware of the importance of effective export control of arms and dual
use goods in prevention of proliferation of weapons of mass
destruction, the Republic of Croatia is honored to accept to co-host
with the United States of America the Ninth International Export
Control Conference.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia avails
itself of this opportunity to renew the Embassy of the United States
of America in Zagreb the assurances of its highest consideration.
