1. (U) This is an action request for human rights
verification required by the Leahy Amendment; see Para. 2.

2. (U) JUSMAG THAI has requested that the Embassy/State
Department complete human rights vetting request for
Two Units listed below, which have been selected to attend
the above-mentioned course. Embassy Bangkok possesses no
credible information at this time of gross violations of
human rights by these units. Embassy Bangkok
Political Officer, Guy Margalith, is the verifying
officer for the Embassy/Department of State. Due to DoD
requirements, we would appreciate expedited processing, if
possible.

THAILAND.

PARTICIPATING UNITS:

1. 601 Squadron, Royal Thai Air Force, Commander is Group Captain
Airbull Suttiwan, DPOB: March 06, 1961; Bangkok, Thailand.

2. The Special Operations Regiment, Commander is Group Captain
Suchin Wannaroj, DPOB: February 29, 1956; Bangkok, Thailand.
