1. (SBU) Pol/Econ Chief delivered reftel demarche to Acting
Director of the MFA Americas Office Tomas Bican on March 10.
Bican undertook to coordinate with the Ministry of Interior
and informed Embassy on March 28 that the preliminary
reaction from the MOI was "mainly positive," and "open" to
the U.S. request. Post will follow up with the relevant
officials in the MOI Office of Migration and report further
septel.
