1. (SBU) Post has recieved from the Ministry of Foreign
Relations a diplomatic note dated February 20, 2008
requesting USG support for Peru's candidacy fo the UN
Security Council term of 2018-2019. Post requests Department
guidance on our response.

2. (U) Post will email the text of the diplomatic note to
WHA/AND, USUN and IO/UNP.
