SUBJECT: NOTIFYING SIERRA LEONE OF AGOA 2008 FORUM

1. (U) DCM met with Sierra Leone MFA Director General Umaru
Wurie on May 8 to inform the Sierra Leone Government that the
next AGOA Forum will occur in Washington July 14-16 and to
encourage Sierra Leone's participation. On May 12, letters
were sent to Minister of Trade and Industry Alimamy Koromoa
and Minister of Finance David Carew. Relevant talking points
were provided.

2. (U) We have no further information concerning Sierra
Leone's participation or specific input on any agenda
considerations and will advise septel when a response is
received.
