1. On July 15, TDY ECONOFF met with UAE Ministry of Economy
Assistant Under Secretary for Companies and Control Affairs Mr.
Humaid Ali Bin Butti Al Muhairi to deliver the letter in reftel
regarding the Arab League Boycott. ECONOFF explained the purpose of
the letter and handed it to Mr. Muhairi as a non-paper. Mr. Muhairi
explained that the Under Secretary Aziz was currently unavailable but
he would ensure that he received the letter.
Mr. Muhairi then reviewed the non-paper and explained that he needed
to share it with others in the Ministry before he could officially
comment. He stated he would try to get back to ECONOFF next week.
