1. This is an action request.

2. Pursuant to the Leahy Act and Foreign Assistance Act, post
requests the Department's assistance in screening the following
candidates of the Iraqi Security Forces who have been nominated for
training in the United States. Post has no derogatory information.

3. The names of the proposed candidates are as follows:

NAME: Omar Qasim Yahya YAHYA
POSITION: LTC, Counter Terrorism Bureau, Iraqi Army
DOB: January 20, 1967
TYPE OF TRAINING: Counter Terrorism Language Program and Program on
Advanced Security Studies
TRAINING LOCATION: Marshall Center, Garmisch, Germany
DATES OF TRAINING: August 25 to December 19, 2008
