(SBU) Pol-Econ Chief delivered reftel demarche on July 16 to
Humeid al-Maani, Office Director for Ministry of Foreign
Affairs Secretary General Sayyid Badr al-Busaidi. Maani
confirmed that Sayyid Badr would represent Oman at the
meeting of non-aligned movement (NAM) foreign ministers in
Tehran later in the month, but provided no substantive
response to the demarche. He stated that he would pass our
message directly to Sayyid Badr for consideration.
