(U) In an August 21 meeting, MFA Americas Unit Head, Teaghes
Kiflezghi, informed PolOff the MFA does not have an official
position regarding the Russia-Georgia conflict (reftel). On
a personal note, however, Teaghes commented that he feels
sympathy for the excessive loss of Georgian lives.
